Alternative Placement 

Alternative placement allowed me to experience teaching in a different setting in an inclusive learning environment. This placement consisted of teaching students with severe learning needs. The schemes I was teaching needed to be extremely basic and literal. Show and tell demonstrations were helpful for the students to learn the process of making the artworks.

This experience in Red Hill will assist me when teaching mainstream in terms of differentiation, adaptability of approaches and methodologies. I learned alot about sensory art and making connections of the well-being programme in second level. I feel this experience will help me to deliver the well-being programme in secondary school.
